President Trump Pledged ‘Golden Age’ “From This Day Forward, Our Country Will Flourish and Be Respected Again”

Donald Trump has returned to the U.S. presidency after a four-year absence, declaring another “America First” era. After serving as the 45th president for four years beginning in 2017, Trump was sworn in at an inauguration ceremony in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20, 2025, to begin his second term as the 47th president of the United States.

Trump walked into the Capitol alongside President Joe Biden. They were followed by former presidents, Trump’s cabinet nominees, senators, Supreme Court justices, and tech CEOs.

The cold weather forecast Monday prompted the main ceremony to be moved inside the Capitol Rotunda. The last time the swearing-in was moved indoors was in 1985, when President Ronald Reagan began his second term.

The swearing-in of Trump, who overcame impeachments, criminal indictments and two assassination attempts to win another term in the White House, took place at noon on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

President Donald Trump delivered his second inaugural address, vowing a “revolution of common sense” and announcing “we are at the start of a thrilling new era of national success.”

In the 30-minute speech in the Capitol Rotunda, he promised a ‘tide of change’ and salvation from what he said was the ‘decline’ brought on by the policies of his predecessor, former President Joe Biden.

In his inaugural address, President Trump declared that “The golden age of America begins right now,” and said, “I will, very simply, put America first,” echoing his first inaugural address, in which he declared “America First” as the motto of his administration.

“We will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen,” he said, but ”We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars that we end – and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into.”

This translates into a declaration of “Trumpian neo-isolationism,” a refrain from foreign military intervention. “My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier,” he added.

“We will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage (of other countries) any longer,” Trump said, emphasizing that “during every single day of the Trump administration, I will, very simply, put America first.”

In this regard, he announced that the Gulf of Mexico would be renamed the Gulf of the United States and that he would take back control of the Panamunta.

In terms of trade and domestic policies, he also made a clear statement of “America First.”President Trump announced a policy of overhauling the trade system and imposing (expanding) tariffs on foreign countries, and declared the end of the Biden administration’s Green New Deal, an eco-friendly industrial policy that included preferential policies for electric vehicles.

He declared a “national emergency” on the southern border, deployed troops to the southern border, and announced tough measures against illegal immigrants, including a decision to allow undocumented immigrants to stay in the U.S. while they wait to be processed.

He also declared a “national energy emergency” and vowed to expand drilling for oil and other resources. “I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life. We will forge a society that is colorblind and merit-based. As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.,” Trump said, signaling a major rollback of LGBT rights policies that were strengthened under Democratic administrations.

In his inaugural address, Trump vowed a “revolution of common sense” and will sign a series of executive orders today to implement these policies.

President Trump lost the 2020 presidential election and stepped down as a one-term president, but despite four criminal indictments stemming from election fraud and a Capitol Hill riot, he returned to the White House last year on Nov. 5 in a landslide victory.

In particular, President Trump, who was born on June 14, 1946, is 78 years and 7 months old as of today, making him the oldest president ever to enter the White House. It has been 132 years since Grover Cleveland, who served as the 22nd president of the United States and was reelected as the 24th president in 1893 after failing to win a second term, was elected again.

With the ruling Republican Party holding majorities in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and a 6-3 conservative balance on the U.S. Supreme Court, President Trump began his presidency with a strong power base.

With the inauguration of Trump’s second term government, whose core principles include “America First,” “no security free ride,” “peace through strength,” and “tariffs first,” the global security and trade order has been transformed.

President Trump vowed to overhaul the trade system.

“I will immediately begin the overhaul of our trade system to protect American workers and families,” Trump said during his inaugural address. “Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens,” he said.

“For this purpose, we are establishing the External Revenue Service to collect all tariffs, duties, and revenues, It will be massive amounts of money pouring into our Treasury, coming from foreign sources,” he added.

Trump has previously vowed to impose a universal tariff of 10-20% on all imports and a 60% tariff on imports from China.

He has also said he would impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada, citing issues such as drugs and immigration.

White House announced President Trump’s America First Priorities policies, after President Trump’s official inauguration as his second term.

For “Make America Safe Again,” President Trump will take bold action to secure our border and protect American communities. This includes ending Biden’s catch-and-release policies, reinstating Remain in Mexico, building the wall, ending asylum for illegal border crossers, cracking down on criminal sanctuaries, and enhancing vetting and screening of aliens.

President Trump’s deportation operation will address the record border crossings of criminal aliens under the prior administration. The President is suspending refugee resettlement, after communities were forced to house large and unsustainable populations of migrants, straining community safety and resources. The Armed Forces, including the National Guard, will engage in border security, which is national security, and will be deployed to the border to assist existing law enforcement personnel.

President Trump will begin the process of designating cartels, including the dangerous Tren de Aragua, as foreign terrorist organizations and use the Alien Enemies Act to remove them. The Department of Justice will seek the death penalty as the appropriate punishment for heinous crimes against humanity, including those who kill law enforcement officers and illegal migrants who maim and murder Americans.

For, “Affordable and Energy Dominant,” the President will unleash American energy by ending Biden’s policies of climate extremism, streamlining permitting, and reviewing for rescission all regulations that impose undue burdens on energy production and use, including mining and processing of non-fuel minerals. President Trump’s energy actions empower consumer choice in vehicles, showerheads, toilets, washing machines, lightbulbs and dishwashers. Trump will declare an energy emergency and use all necessary resources to build critical infrastructure.

Trump’s energy policies will end leasing to massive wind farms that degrade our natural landscapes and fail to serve American energy consumers, and will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.

All agencies will take emergency measures to reduce the cost of living. President Trump will announce the America First Trade Policy. It stressed America will no longer be beholden to foreign organizations for our national tax policy, which punishes American businesses.

To “Drain the Swamp,” The President will usher a Golden Age for America by reforming and improving the government bureaucracy to work for the American people. He will freeze bureaucrat hiring except in essential areas to end the onslaught of useless and overpaid DEI activists buried into the federal workforce. He will pause burdensome and radical regulations not yet in effect that Biden announced.

Trump is announcing an unprecedented slate of executive orders for rescission, and planning for improved accountability of government bureaucrats. The American people deserve the highest-quality service from people who love our country. He will also return federal workers to work, as only 6% of employees currently work in person.

The President is taking swift action to end the weaponization of government against political rivals and ordering all document retention as required by law. Also ending the unconstitutional censorship by the federal government. No longer will government employees pick and require the erasure of entirely true speech. On the President’s direction, the State Department will have an America-First foreign policy.

For “Bring Back American Values,” The President will establish male and female as biological reality and protect women from radical gender ideology. American landmarks will be named to appropriately honor our Nation’s history.

White House also lists six policy agendas that Trump’s second administration will prioritize. These include ending inflation and lowering the cost of living, tax cuts for American workers, securing the border, restoring peace through strength, energy supremacy, and making America’s cities safe again.

“In his second term, President Trump promised to lead an economic revival by lowering taxes and creating more jobs for American workers,” the White House said of the Ending Inflation and Lowering the Cost of Living agenda.

On tax cuts, “President Trump will work tirelessly to eliminate taxes on tips and overtime and make permanent the historic tax cuts enacted in his first term.”

On border security, the White House said, “President Trump will end the practice of catch and release (for illegal immigrants), declare war on drug cartels, and reinstate the ‘remain in Mexico’ policy.” “He will empower law enforcement and border officials with the authority to restore a secure border,” it promised.★
